Maria Luisa Park

The park was re-developed from the southern part of the city for the 1929 world fair exposition. It was turned into an area of gardens, canals, fountains and grand boulevards. The centrepiece of the park is the Plaza de Espana. The best thing about this place is that it is free to look around. A word of caution…..there are horses and carriages waiting to take unsuspecting tourists on a ride around the sights. This will set you back around €30.00 for one hour.

Why should I visit?

This is recommended if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and experience some tranquillity and some fantastic scenery to boot.
